ARPI Delegation in Seoul



 Delegates sent by Arnis Philippines with the blessing of the Philippines Sports Commission performed and represented the country in the Cheongju World Martial Arts Mastership 2016 held at Cheongju City, South Korea last Sept 1-8. The arnis team showcased both arnis martial art and combat sport to entice and promote the filipino martial art.

The delgation was headed by ARPI Directors, Med Quiambao & Rene Pronstroler, and was accompanied by PSC Mrs. Violeta Tuazon. The rest of the delgation consisted of ARPI National Trainer Jaime Quizana, National Assistant Coach Arnold Cabodil, and RJ Guro's namely; Neolito Tarrobago, Ceasar Gonzales, Arnold Arceo, Vicente Madero, & Jonathan Neptali Punongbayan.

The performance, martial art and sport of arnis was well received. With this, ARPI & PSC hopes to reaffirm the collaboration and mutual support with its South Korean counterparts.

Standard Anyo Refresher Seminar



ARPI will be conducting a Standard Anyo Refresher Seminar on July 10,2016 from 9-12nn at the Arnis Center, PhilSports Complex, Pasig City. It will be a one day seminar and is Only available for iARNIS RJ & Guro members of this year.

3rd Women's Martial Arts Festival 2016


PSC will be hosting the 3rd Women’s Martial Arts Festival, an all-female national competition, which will be held on April 22-24, 2016. Venue will be:

April 22 - Pre-Tournament Activities at the Arnis Center, PhilSports Complex, Pasig City

April 23-24 - Tournament Proper - at Tiendesitas, Pasig City

The  Participants coming from the different regions all throughout the country shall be competing in a high level tournament which is founded on fair play and sportsmanship. This tournament fee is free of charge. But, we shall only accept the 1st 100 applicants in a “first come first serve basis.” We also would like to remind you that only applicants who are members in good standing of Arnis Philippines, Inc. will be allowed to participate.

 This event is projected to promote and popularize further the Sport and Martial Art of ARNIS in line with the program of the Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of Tourism, Philippine Sports Commission as well as the Philippine Olympic Committee.

Just a trivia of the founding of Arnis Philippines in 1986. Right after the EDSA Revolution, a few young arnis masters met at Pulo Restaurant in Fiesta Carnival, Cubao, Quezon City, Philippines to form the national arnis association we now know today. They were Raymond Velayo, Dewey Sahagun+, Rene Tongson, Mario Malicsi+, Ernie Presas+, Alex Cruz+, Bienvenido Orlanes+, Jerry Dela Cruz, Guy Tacorda+, Atty. Ulan sarmiento, Ramon Enrille III, and Roland Dantes+. This will become the present national sports association, Arnis Philippines, Inc.
